Our cute and furry angel is our kitten. The same week my dad was dying with lung cancer, our loved pet, quite old, was paralazed and had to be put to sleep. Needless to say, my emotions were on a thin thread. Within two days of the vet visit, my sweet dad died.My husband and I were so sad by the loss of my dad, and feeling awful that we also lost a cat at the same time. We said a prayer and I told my husband to pray for a kitten. He said to me “I think I want a calico cat” . I said, any kitten will be fine. He said “ok, maybe a gray one with stripes, or a cute black one. The very next day, my husband, who works in a state park, was approached by a person who said “I found this kitten”. Of course, it was gray with stripes! My husband brought it home. The next day, its two sisters were found, one black and the other gray and white striped as well. We kept the first one and found homes for the second one. The most amazing thing about the kitten we kept, is the love it showed me. Each night for a month, the kitten slept on my heart and stroked my hair and face with love. It was only after I started feeling happier that the kitten approached my husband. We know that this cat is a healer, as it seems to know how we feel. My dog at first, didn’t like the “intruder” . Our kitten stood brave in front of the barking dog, and actually would pet its fur through the gate! After a short time, the kitten and dog were best friends. My kitten “pets” the dog, plays with her tail, and my dog has grown quite tolerant toward the furry cat who loves to keep the dog company. I do know that God sent her my way to heal my sad heart, and she is one amazing and funny kitten.
Angels are sometimes cute and furry…
